The Bureau for Intellectual Property of Curaçao was established in 1957 and has proudly been serving the community with the protection of Intellectual Property rights. BIP inherited Curacao’s long and rich trademark legacy of over 130 years, and has a strong commitment to apply up-to-date trademark legislation. Furthermore, BIP is a well-versed trademark agency that helps protect intellectual property taking into account the interest of creators, innovators, and the public in general and by providing an environment in which creativity can flourish for the benefit of all. This is also realized by other services, including the registration of patents, i-Envelope, ISBN and industrial design in the near future. Services are rendered in four languages, English, Spanish, Dutch and the local language Papiamentu.
